Cessation of Temporary Suspension of itBit as a Constituent Exchange of the CME CF Bitcoin Reference Rate

Crypto Facilities, the Index Administrator of the CME CF Bitcoin Reference Rate announces the cessation of the temporary suspension of itBit as a constituent exchange of the CME CF Bitcoin Reference Rate that was instituted at 1400 LDN on January 25th 2019.

This suspension cessation takes immediate effect, which means that transactions conducted on the itBit exchange will be included in the calculation of the CME CF Bitcoin Reference Rate for February 2nd, 2019 and all subsequent calculations unless otherwise stated.

This suspension cessation is due to the resolution of the technical issues with the itBit trade log that led to the temporary suspension. The Administrator has conducted an extensive dialogue with itBit to understand the causes of the technical issues and their satisfactory resolution.

The Administrator has also applied its own data quality assurance measures to ensure that it can identify “Relevant Transactions” from the itBit trade log for inclusion in its index calculation as per the published CME CF Reference Rates Methodology Guide here
